AGA Technical Tour

The AGA Technical tour will take place on Sunday, 28 April and includes a visit to the Port of Cape Town, followed by a visit to some of Cape Town’s most beautiful scenic places.

The Port of Cape Town technical tour will commence with a tour and plaque unveiling ceremony at the Robinson Dry Dock at 8:30am.

The Dry Dock has significant historical value, being opened in 1882. It has been selected as the National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark for 2024 by the South African Institution of Civil Engineering (SAICE).

Following stops at a few more places of interest in the Port, the tour will continue on over Chapman’s Peak (voted as one of the most scenic drives in the world); a stop at Boulders Beach to see our endangered African Penguin Colony (also recently voted No 2 out of the world’s top 100 beaches); followed by a final stop at Cape Point.

This Technical Tour is inclusive for AGA delegates and Accompanying Persons at no additional cost.
